Studio East Architecture & Design (SEAD) is a dynamic architecture practice founded by two architects, both licensed in the United States and India. With a shared passion for designing innovative, context-sensitive spaces, the firm is deeply rooted in Eastern culture with a global perspective.
The founders each hold master’s degrees in architecture from leading U.S. universities and bring over nine years of professional experience—both internationally and in India—to every project. SEAD focuses primarily on residential and light commercial work in both India and the United States.
At SEAD, a collaborative, forward-thinking environment drives design excellence, sustainability, and innovation, with a commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but also inspiring, responsible, and deeply attuned to their cultural context. Panchajanya takes a detail-oriented approach to design that combines in-depth technical expertise with design rigor. He firmly believes that great design has transformative qualities, and that the true architectural experience extends far beyond what meets the eye.
His experience spans a wide range of project types, including single-family and multifamily residential, light commercial, institutional, and civic buildings in India, USA and Canada.
Outside of architecture, Panchajanya actively engages in sketching, painting, photography, furniture making, and other creative endeavors—drawing inspiration from these passions to inform his architectural projects.

Madhuri, a native of Bangalore, possesses a deep-rooted understanding of the city's rich culture and architectural heritage, which she thoughtfully integrates into her projects.
She embraces a self-reflective design approach to architecture, driven by introspection, authenticity, and a commitment to creating personalized, meaningful spaces.
With extensive experience across diverse projects in India & USA —ranging from single & multi-family residences, institutional, commercial, FF&E, and complex renovations of historical buildings—Madhuri brings a unique perspective to every design. Her dedication to sustainable design is supported by her experience with rating systems like LEED and Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB).

SEAD is a technology-enabled architectural firm that integrates cutting-edge technologies at every stage of the design and construction process. From schematic design through construction administration, we harness innovative tools to create efficient and sustainable solutions for our clients.
By incorporating Virtual Reality (VR) early in the design phase, we offer clients the ability to fully immerse themselves in their future spaces, experiencing and interacting with designs long before construction begins. This immersive approach brings clarity and confidence to clients about the design process.
We also utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) across most projects, streamlining the design process while enhancing coordination among all project consultants. BIM enables us to anticipate potential conflicts between trades, resolve them early in the design phase, and ultimately minimize risks, ensuring smoother execution during construction.
